Our main mandate is to promote democracy, peace and harmony between the employer and the employee in the Tourism Industry in accordance with the provision of the Labour Act (Chapter 28:011.

POSITION: ACCOUNTANT
REPORTS TO: THE GENERAL SECRETARY
JOB SUMMARY
The candidate must have knowledge in financial and cost management accounting and be able to coordinate all accounting functions in compliance with company policies and relevant statutory regulations. You will be responsible for the accurate and complete reporting of data required for the creation of financial statements. Must be analytical, possess good people skills and versatile.
Duties and Responsibilities • Ensuring the integrity of accounting information. • Review the appropriateness of financial transactions and post journals. • Supervise and or carrying out bank reconciliations, creditors reconciliations and cash account reconciliations. • Prepares monthly flash accounts, management accounts and year-end accounts. • Preparation of budge.. • Maintenance, supervising stock takes and carries out stock evaluations. • Maintaining debtor accounts. • Supervising and processing of salaries journals. • Preparation of weekly cash flow projections. • Supervise revenue collection. • Carries out month nominal ledger. • Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations. • Prepare audit file and liaises with external auditors throughout the year. • Remits all statutory payments timeously . • Upholds and improves on internal control systems that safeguards the maintenance of NEC Tourism’s assets. • Processing payroll for NEC Tourism staff.
Qualifications and Experience • Degree In Accountancy or any other related business degree with an accredited institution or higher learning. • Membership of a professional body registered with the PAAB or degree or Masters is an added advantage. • Knowledge of any accounting package such as Quick Books or Pastel is a must. • 5 years. relevant experience.
