What Is Picture in Picture Mode And How Does It Work?
Picture-in-Picture (PiP) is a feature that allows one to multitask using their smartphones. For instance, you can search for a document while video chatting with a friend or read a Whatsapp message. The picture-in-Picture mode also works with most online streaming services.
This feature available on Android smartphones running Android 8.0 Oreo and later
Picture in Picture mode is a nice feature for heavy multitaskers who jump from app to app while using their phones. PiP is also useful if you want to easily watch a video rather than pay full attention, such videos are those that take too long to get to the end.

How To Enable Picture in Picture Mode
Please note that this feature isn’t compatible with all apps, and it’s up to developers of the applications to indicate whether or not an app supports this feature. Check a list of all the apps on your device that support picture-in-picture mode. First, you have to make sure all your Android apps are up to date.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Apps & notifications.
- Go to Advanced
- Tap on Special app access.
- Select Picture-in-picture.
- Choose an app from the list.
- Tap the button to enable PiP.
After this, you will be able to multitask while on a video call with friends, also this Android feature lets you watch your favourite videos while doing other things with your phone.
