WhatsApp Celebrates 12 Years Anniversary With 2 Billion Users Each Month This Year
Despite controversy surrounding the Facebook owned chat company, WhatsApp; the app has made a milestone achievement this year and on this day, 25th of February 2021.
The app has just turned 12 years this day and has celebrated the day with a 2 billion users who turn up on the instant chat app each month.
The app has also revealed that despite the negative feedback it got beginning this year after it introduced a damning privacy policy; users keep on increasing for them.
Each month, over a hundred billion messages are being sent monthly on the chat app.
“More than two billion users turn to WhatsApp each month to send 100 billion messages and to connect more than one billion calls each day,” said WhatsApp on Twitter.
Because of the long standing misunderstanding over its privacy policy, WhatsApp keeps emphasizing that it will “always and forever” be committed to ensuring an efficient privacy with their end-to-end encryption.
“We are and will continue to be committed to your privacy with end-to-end encryption. Always and forever. Happy 12 years WhatsApp!” it said.

Updating the instant messaging app’s terms and conditions on the 1st of January 2021 came with a huge price for the company.
Stats show that India, which is by far the biggest market for the company with over 340 million users has almost 29% of its users threatening to dicth the app once the policies come to effect in May.
