Job Summary


We are looking for a career and goal driven individual to fill the role of blockman in our SME. The candidate should reside within Chisipite, Kamfinsa, Mabvuku or Tafara region in Harare.


Duties And Responsibilities


 Cutting, grinding, and preparing meat for sale
 Ability to prepare various types of meat such as mince or sausages
 Cleaning and maintain meat centre equipment
 Weighing and packaging various types of meat
 Keeping records and inventories
 Informing supervisors on inventory recordings
 Responsible for sales target as set by supervisor or management
 Expecting meat and quality of meat
 Adhering to meat safety and hygiene which includes keeping the place of work clean
 Storing meat in refrigerator and keeping at the right temperature
 Excellent customer service: greeting, accepting orders as requested, and offering customer advice
 Nicely arranging meat types in trays before it is taken to display area

Qualifications And Experience


25 years+
O and A levels (Maths and English is required for O levels)
3 to 5 years experience as a blockman

Must be well presented and smart emphasis on hygiene (hair or beard should be kept short and nails short be cut and kept clean always, fresh clean clothes)
 Adhere to safety laws (safety shoes or clothing, not utilising cell phones)
 Ability to handle tools such as the bandsaw machine, to lift heavy machinery and work in cold room
 Knowledge on meat preparation techniques, cutting, displaying of various meat types
 Strong communication and customer service excellence
 Arrive to work 30 minutes before opening meat centre
