Job Summary


The Business Development and Marketing manager reports to the Director Development/ Operations. The person will be responsible for developing strategic partners and business relationships on behalf of a company while at the same time undertaking a marketing role that involves the creation of products and services. One should know how to utilize digital platforms and be able to conduct market research, to attract new clients to the company and to maintain a good organizational public image. The incumbent will be based at the ZNBWCB Head Office.


Duties And Responsibilities


• Soliciting new business and maintaining relationships with partners
• Market intelligence and Research, Digital marketing management
• Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth
• Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating business promotion programs and developing business action plans.
• Budgeting and cost management in area of jurisdiction.
• Processing business proposals for new clients and business partners
• Identifying targeted sectors in relation to existing and new business
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.
• Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization’s activities, products and/or services.
• Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with journalists, and maintain a media database.
• Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
• Maintain records of media coverage and collate analytics and metrics.
• Proficiency in design and publishing software.
• Manage conflict as it arises and escalate to management.
• Market research and developing marketing opportunities, analyses the market and establishing targeted market share.
• Establish the best way to reach target groups to grow market share to targeted levels.
• Planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating business promotion programs and developing business action plans.
• Coordination of marketing activities and maintaining good relations with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in design and publishing software.
• Any other duties assigned by the management.
• To establish funding models from products and services
• To identify, develop, maintain and nurture a revenue streams for products and services
• To manage all social media platforms
• To create content that engages and attracts followers to social media platforms

Qualifications And Experience


• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns.
• Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
• Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity.
• At least 5 years experience in marketing or related field of which 2 must be at managerial level.
• Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
• Excellent organizational skills.
