The above vacancy has arisen at our Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Wholesaling Business.

Candidates meeting the following requirements should apply:
• Strong and sound knowledge of pharmaceutical markets and trends in Zimbabwe, SADC region and African continent and world-wide;
• Supervision and performance management of a strong sales and marketing and distribution team in Harare and Bulawayo;
• Marketing strategist capable of creating demand for the company’s products both locally and externally;
• Ability to consistently meet set marketing and sales objectives and targets;
• Capable of marketing analytic, critical thinking and solving problems;
• Strong in market; research, planning, organising, executing, supervising, advertising and promotions and report writing;
• Success stories in building strong brands, market research, developing export markets and market turnarounds important;
• Technical knowledge of Pharma manufacturing and distribution is an added advantage;
• Prospective candidate should be capable of adapting very quickly;
• Based in Harare travelling and frequently travelling around the country and region;
• Develop and grow the export market in addition to the existing product portfolio for the company
• Reports directly to the CEO of the company.


Duties And Responsibilities


• Planning and achieving the company’s sales volume, value and gross profit targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Planning and achieving the company’s export sales volume, value and gross profit targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.

Ensuring adherence to daily customer visit plans and targets by sales staff
• Managing the sales and marketing department
• Build market programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segment in support of the overall strategic marketing plan.
• Develop business cases for marketing programs at the proposal stage and make recommendations at the proposed stage
• Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives, including impact on achievement of sales targets and market share growth, gross profit targets, cash flows and profits.
• Propose and manage market research projects to generate consumer insights in support of improved marketing strategy and communications
• Partner with creative teams, other stakeholders, external agencies and vendors in pursuit of strategic marketing objectives and sales revenues
• Effective supervision of the department staff
• Effectively promoting the company’s pharmaceutical products to health care providers and retailers
• Achieving the sales and marketing share growth goals, targets and objectives for the company
• Developing the sales and marketing strategy of the company
• Successful implementation of the company’s sales and marketing strategies
• Analyzing the effectiveness of these strategies and rectifying the variances if any

Hiring, training and induction of the performance of the sales support staff
• Successfully handling competition and competitors
• Identifying and developing new markets for the company’s products
• Ensuring achievement of set market sales coverage and customer service
• Ensuring effective detailing of the pharmaceutical products to medical practitioners and professionals
• Ensuring effective and efficient merchandising of the company’s products in supermarkets and shops
• Growing the company’s sales revenue and gross profit in at least double digits at a rate higher than the local market sales growth rate annually which is currently more than 10%.

Qualifications And Experience


Degree in marketing
Internship and graduate trainee experience in a marketing driven organization
Clean Class 4 Driver’s License
