Job Summary
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Quality Controller shall deliver quality assurance and quality related activities conforming to quality management system (QMS) policy, procedures and standards according to SAZ (ISO)9001:2015.
Duties And Responsibilities
• Ensure that the quality policy, procedures and standard procedures are being adhered to through monitoring and carrying out audits.
• Introduce and maintain adequate systems to ensure compliance with requirements of SAZ/ISO 9001: 2015.
• Introduce and maintain adequate systems to ensure all raw materials are ordered, supplied and checked/tested according to quality management system.
• Monitor production and supporting departmental process to ensure adherence to laid down quality procedures and standard practices through planned audits.
• Ensure products meet specified customer requirements/specifications before dispatch.
• Investigate and establish nature and causes of product /service deficiencies and recommend remedial and preventative actions.
• Write and update procedures and standard practices and ensure these documents are issued and controlled in accordance with procedures.
• Advise and liaise with all departments on matters related to quality.
• Ensure ordered raw materials are within Almin and International specifications.
• Ensure all internal and external non conformances and customer complaints are properly investigated and effective corrective and preventive actions are put in place.
• Control all quality management system documents and maintains a good filing system.
• Carry out other duties assigned by management
Qualifications And Experience
• A bachelor’s degree in any applied science or business-based programs.
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience in production or manufacturing industry will be an added advantage
• Experience in quality management systems is a must
• Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.
• In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, and statistical methods.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Good technical and IT skills.
