RESEARCH AND INNOVATION OFFICE
The Midlands State University Research and Innovation Office is dedicated to support students and staff research and innovation endeavours. As a result, the University is seeking highly qualified, knowledgeable, experienced, and committed individuals to assist in research support, intellectual property management services, technology transfer, and business development. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following posts:
Duties And Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following are the responsibilities of the Research Manager:
Managing the entire University research portfolio.
Maintaining a critical mass of strong and productive researchers.
Enable uptake of outputs to the innovation hub.
Establishing and sustaining strong, strategic, and mutually beneficial research partnerships.
Monitoring the University’s research and knowledge transfer activities.
Research capacity development of early career and mid-career researchers.
Responsible for Editorial and Publications issues.
Responsible for all research ethics, research integrity, and research impact issues.
Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications And Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
An earned Doctorate degree.
Tenured academic with at least two years of university teaching experience post tenure.
At least ten publications with experience in research, innovation and commercialisation activities.
