Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following position which has arisen within Murewa Rural District Council
The suprintendent will be under the Engineering and Technical Services Department and reporting to the district Engineer
Stationed at Macheke sub office
Duties And Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for inter alia
General management of Macheke Sub Office
• Land management
• Ensure compliance to Council bylaws on all the activities in and around Macheke.
• Enforce development control in compliance with the provisions of the Regional.
Town and Country Planning Act (1996)
• Maintaining Council housing database
• Allocation of all types of stands in compliance with the law
• Making follow-ups on all undeveloped stands and Proffering appropriate recommendations on the affected stands.
• Supervision of Macheke Sub Office staff
• Servicing the Roads and Works Committee, Area Committee and Projects and Planning Committee.
• Resolving Land Disputes for Macheke Residential and Commercial, Industrial and Institutional stands
• Management of lease, waiting list and stand allocation registers
• Implementing Restore to sanity operations
• Perform any other duties assigned by the District Engineer.
Qualifications And Experience
Degree in Social Sciences. Development Studies, Local Governance. and Public Administration and equivalent qualification
At least two years experience working in a Local Government environment.
