When thinking about using the internet to make a call Skype would immediately come into one’s mind. However, things have changed and technology has advanced in the past few years with chat apps like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger including calling features. How to make Whatsapp calls:

Calling people on WhatsApp is easy on both Android and iPhone, all you need to do is open the contact in WhatsApp whom you want to call, and then tap the voice call button. If you want to make a video call, tap on the video call button.

The most common question has been,  does Whatsapp web have a calling feature.  For now, WhatsApp web doesn’t support voice or video calls. To use a desktop for a call you will have to download a third-party tool for that.

How to Answer and Reject calls:

The method to answer or reject the call differs on whether your phone is locked or not.

On Android, press the Answer button if the phone is unlocked. If the phone is locked, a different calling screen will show up. Swipe up from the green button to accept the call. Swipe up on the red button when rejecting a call.

On iPhone it has the Accept and Reject buttons when the phone is unlocked, tap on the blue Accept button to answer the call. Tap on red Decline button to reject it. If the phone is locked, swipe right on the Slide to answer button.

How to switch from Voice call to Video call:

If you are on a voice call with someone, and you wish to switch to a video call. Tap on the video button on the call screen.

The call will be connected automatically. The other person will receive a notification that you are trying to video call them.
