Disable Second Tick When Receiving WhatsApp Messages So It Will Appear As If It Wasn’t Delivered or Read.

Did you know there is a trick which enables you to remove one tick from WhatsApp messages, which you receive, so it will appear like you haven’t received and read the message when in fact you have?

The sender of the message will just get one tick on their end, which signals that they have sent you a message but you haven’t received and read it yet.

The Science behind WhatsApp ticks works like this

One grey tick means the message was sent but hasn’t been received yet.

Two ticks mean the message has been received. (if you or the person have disabled your blue tick, you can’t really tell whether it was read)

Blue ticks mean received and read.

We assume you want to operate with the one tick here for your contacts.

There are many reasons why one would want to appear like they haven’t received and read a message when in fact they have, most of it boils down to privacy.

The regular WhatsApp does not have this feature, unfortunately.

The only way one tick is achieved on regular WhatsApp is if the data is off, the phone is off, or it’s on flight mode. Once you switch them on, your contacts will start getting double ticks on their end.

On the other hand, modified versions of WhatsApp have this feature.

WhatsApp mods included GBWhatsApp, FM WhatsApp, WhatsApp Plus, Yo WhatsApp.

They are designed by third parties and basically mimic WhatsApp on everything and even use the same server in some instances.

They’re just tweaked versions of WhatsApp and can get around some loopholes, which makes things much easier.

Most of our test runs here are done with GBWhatsApp as a personal preference, without prejudicing the other mods.

Assuming you have already downloaded your GBWhatsApp apk from gbmod.co and installed, gone through the verification process, you’re ready to start.

Now open your GBWhatsApp and tap the 3 menu dots on the top right of your WhatsApp screen.

Select settings, then go to privacy where a dozen options will appear, tap on the second tick option.

Your WhatsApp may restart to configure this feature

When one of your contacts sends you a message, they won’t know if you received it or or read it, even if you did!

You’re welcome!
